About

Keisuke Yoshida, born in 1991 in Kita-ku, Tokyo, graduated from Rikkyo University in 2013 with a degree in Literature. During his university years, he delved into fashion at Kokonogakko fashion school, eventually founding KEISUKEYOSHIDA in 2015 after completing the A.M.I. program at ESMODE JAPON. His debut collection, inspired by his adolescent fashion aspirations, embodied a life-size boyish image. Since Spring Summer 2016, the brand has been a regular participant in Tokyo Fashion Week, evolving its aesthetic. Transitioning from boys' attire, Yoshida's collections from S/S 2017 onwards exclusively feature womenswear, reflecting the intersection between contemporary society and his identity as a fashion designer. Over subsequent seasons, the brand's identity solidified. Collections like SS 2019, shot in London, and Autumn Winter 2019, illuminated by striking red lights, established a brooding, introspective mood. AW 2020 delved into eerie, mysterious shapes, further anchoring the brand's somber foundation. Collaborating with -THE SEWING WORKS- since 2019, Yoshida has expanded his expressive repertoire through craftsmanship. Amid the upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he returned to his roots, staging the S/S 2021 runway show near his hometown, reconnecting with his childhood landscapes. For A/W 2021, Yoshida updated his signature schoolboy aesthetic, collaborating with HARUTA CORPORATION for school shoes. A/W 2023 saw a creative shift with stylist LĂ©opold Duchemin joining the team, exploring the dynamic between an immature boy and a strict older woman, offering a fresh perspective. The brand's significance was recognized in 2022 when pieces from KEISUKEYOSHIDA's collections were showcased at "FASHION IN JAPAN 1945-2020" at the National Art Center of Tokyo, highlighting its contribution to contemporary Japanese fashion. Subsequently, in 2023, KEISUKEYOSHIDA was named one of the "10 Asian Designers To Watch" by FASHION ASIA HONG KONG, affirming its growing influence in the global fashion landscape.
