Cos Atelier Spring Summer 2023 Fashion Show

Cos Atelier made its debut in Paris with a Spring Summer 2023 collection presented in an off-calendar show. The collection featured soft tailoring and silk slipdresses in neutral tones, paired with bright orange accents. The minimalist aesthetic of the brand was evident in the collection, reminiscent of Bottega Veneta's understated designs. The day-to-evening capsule featured internal construction originated from traditional dressmaking, allowing the wearer to change the neckline and achieve a bespoke feel. Cos Atelier's design director, Karin Gustafsson, cited Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel as her design hero, and the collection paid homage to Chanel's pioneering work in creating clothes for women. Oversized linen suit jackets were paired with matching waistcoats and baggy pants or a floor-length skirt with deep slits, while '90s-style slipdresses came in silk versions and slinky knits. The collection is set to arrive in 21 flagships worldwide and online, providing a savvy spin on high-street chic that can last beyond a single season.
