Francesco Risso's latest traveling show for Marni found a unique setting in the Hôtel Pozzo di Borgo, an 18th-century residence that was once the home of Karl Lagerfeld. The show's opulent backdrop resonated with Risso, who was inspired by Lagerfeld's lifelong pursuit of beauty. The designer affectionately referred to the venue as "a little Versailles."

Rather than adapting the collection to the venue, Risso embraced the Marni brand's distinctive codes, showcasing a coed lineup with eccentric twists on stripes, checks, and flowers. The show featured a diverse cast of models, each wearing outfits ranging from barely-there slipdresses to lampshade skirts adorned with layers of printed blooms. The collection included a mix of battered leather jackets, stiff tailoring in checked intarsia knit or woven leather, and gender-fluid options like babydoll dresses, ribbed knits, and pencil skirts.

Although the collection may not have had a clear unifying theme, Risso drew inspiration from the French people's appreciation of beauty and their inclination for street protests. He emphasized the importance of joy as an act of rebellion, infusing the collection with both joy and rebellion.

The hero pieces in the collection included pannier dresses reminiscent of Marie Antoinette (though Risso denied her as the inspiration) and 3D dresses crafted from meticulously molded and painted tin cans, resembling metallic flowers.
