In the wake of its successful debut at Milan Fashion Week, the Gucci Ancora collection continues to evolve under the creative direction of Sabato De Sarno. De Sarno recently showcased his debut eveningwear collection at the prestigious LACMA Art + Film Gala, presenting a unique perspective on nighttime attire. This exquisite collection boasts twelve evening gowns, each a celebration of the joy, uninhibited spirit, and mysterious sophistication of nocturnal life. De Sarno refrains from confining this allure to a specific time frame, acknowledging that those who embrace the night also navigate the day, free to express their twilight facets at will. The interpretation of attire becomes a canvas for individual expression. With a dynamic and nuanced vision that merges the Apollonian and Dionysian, Gucci Ancora Notte draws inspiration from extensive archival research. Precious lace and fringes from the house's history are reimagined in the form of mini dresses, coats, and soft silhouettes. The collection also features exquisite embroidery, inspired by the minaudière bags of the 1950s. As a nod to the final decade of the previous century, the collection seamlessly blends microshorts with elegant long dresses and showcases clean-lined necklines on fluid and graceful garments. Contrasts between shimmering elements and minimalist monochrome, along with the interplay of relaxed forms and opulent details, invite individuals to create their own interpretations of eveningwear and daywear, adapting to the occasion and mood.
