Kitx Fall Winter 2023-2024 collection lookbook (20 outfits).

Kitx's Fall Winter 2023-24 collection is all about sustainable fashion. Designer Kit Willow has found ways to incorporate off-cuts and discarded fabrics into her pieces, ensuring that nothing goes to waste. She has also moved to a direct-to-consumer model, only making what's pre-ordered from her e-commerce site to avoid excess production.
The collection includes floaty bias-cut dresses made from scraps of floral print silk and pieced denim jackets, bustiers, and ruffle hemmed skirts made using discarded jeans from the Future from Waste Lab, which Willow started in 2021. She is now inviting fellow designers to do residencies at the Lab, using local waste to create their garments.
Willow understands the importance of operating circularly in the fashion industry, which involves reselling, store take-back schemes, garment repair, and upcycling. She has built these processes into her business, starting with making wantable clothing. The collection features a grommeted belt with built-in peplum ruffles cascading down the hips, which adds extra flare to any outfit with low effort.
Kitx's Fall Winter 2023-24 collection is a great example of how fashion can be both beautiful and sustainable, and it serves as a reminder that small steps can make a big impact in the fight against waste and environmental damage in the fashion industry.
