Lanvin Resort 2025 Lookbook

Lanvin Resort 2025 collection lookbook (37 outfits).

Despite the fashion world's frenzy in Paris, Lanvin, the City of Light's oldest couture house, is experiencing a quiet period of growth. The label recently unveiled a new store at the Galeries Lafayette and another in Cannes, hinting at a strategic expansion. While a new artistic director is imminent, the current team, led by deputy managing director Siddhartha Shukla, has been meticulously reshaping Lanvin's image for over two years.

Shukla emphasizes a return to "le chic ultime," the ultimate chic that made Lanvin famous. The Resort 2025 collection reflects this, offering sophisticated pieces beyond just evening wear. Dance serves as a key inspiration, with cape dresses like a draped black number and a sage green design that embodies elegance. A silver-embellished cady dress references a 1920s Lanvin motif, while another dress nods to the brand's Arpège perfume bottle with a "flou twist" and a fluted silver bijou. Showstopping evening wear, including a potential red carpet-worthy daffodil gown, hints at the collection's demi-couture potential.

Recognizing the shift in modern lifestyles, Lanvin prioritizes daywear for both men and women. The "spirit of flou" translates into a graceful wool pantsuit with a drawstring waist and deep cuffs, paired with a chic leather bucket bag. For men, flou manifests in deconstructed jackets, including strong linen bombers and a polo-style "not-sweatshirt." Well-cut trenches in double-face cotton-wool mouliné round out the collection, with subtle branding details replacing overt logos.

The groundwork seems to be laid, but true "radical" chic requires a touch of daring. The success of Lanvin's return largely hinges on the new artistic director's ability to add that missing element and propel the brand back to fashion's forefront.
