Loro Piana Spring Summer 2024 collection lookbook presented at Milano Fashion Week SS24.
For its Spring Summer 2024 collection, Loro Piana continued to showcase its dedication to fabric research and its affinity with Japanese craftsmanship and aesthetics. The collection celebrated the shared values of craftsmanship, respect for nature, and a non-ostentatious approach to beauty between Loro Piana and Japanese culture.
The collection featured wearable pieces that appeared simple to the eye but exuded a sense of luxury when touched. Key highlights included an essential leather skirt bonded with lambskin suede for a supple feel and tailored pieces presented in elongated silhouettes or new mini proportions. Loro Piana's signature knitwear ranged from rustic to demure.
The Japanese influence allowed Loro Piana to explore its more decorative side. This was evident in quilted silk coats adorned with floral motifs, kimono-style jackets in satin for eveningwear, and men's suiting that incorporated tatami fabric-inspired wool stitching techniques. The art of origami inspired knits that combined two different types of raw cashmere to create a three-dimensional effect.
Jacquard silk skirts featuring cherry blossom motifs added an eccentric and feminine touch to the collection. However, the core of the brand's identity remained its understated pieces in elegant neutral shades.
The color palette encompassed various shades of blue, including denim looks with collarless denim jackets. Loro Piana introduced its new Denim Silk fabric, a venture similar to its renowned CashDenim, but this time using silk in the weft, combined with indigo cotton.
The collection also introduced new items, including jewelry, lingerie such as a long linen lace-trimmed slip suitable for pairing with a jacket for a night out, and an expanded handbag offering featuring linen-coated, natural, and pebble leather options.
