Momonì Fall Winter 2022-23 Lookbook

With new awareness in the wake of a global crisis, we realize the growing need for security and protection and try to reconcile it with the desire for adventure and freedom. We need to reconsider the way we live together and the impact our choices have on the future of our planet.

These thoughts were the inspiration for the new Momonì FW22-23 mood – an on the road journey through relaxing Nordic landscapes, exploring unknown and less frequented destinations. The mind and heart are ready for an escape to distant, open spaces to capture all the meaning of life and its beauty.

Momonì has entrusted the essence of its FW 2022-2023 collection to a cinematographic story, interpreted by the model and actress Greta Ferro, the star of « Made in Italy », a television drama about Italian fashion, and with the visionary direction of young Los Angeles-based Italian director Andrea Calvetti.

The film tells of a journey that takes place in the dreamer's mind and is transformed into an adventure of emotions and sensations, a sensory escape to reconnect with a new, profound sense of harmony. A celebration of hygge style that becomes a way of being and dressing. Elegance and comfort accompany the winter atmosphere, where the anticipation of summer is found in camouflower prints of herbs and flowers on silk twill, while ecoprinting-style designs evoke bouquets collected and left to dry between the pages of a newspaper as a souvenir. Relaxed, enveloping silhouettes feature kaleidoscopic botanical motifs of berries, acorns and small squirrels, while the cells of a beehive inspire geometric shapes with a retro vibe on long shirtdresses and maxi shirts.

The gentle shades of twilight become an invitation to relax, which is reflected in silk dresses and shirts to pair with soft bouclé knitwear in organic wool and sustainable alpaca. Prints on crêpe de chine capture the glow of the northern lights and draw inspiration from elements of Nordic folk art such as Dala horses, also featured on romantic jacquard knits. Momonì's AW 22/23 collection is designed to be versatile, following the stages of a journey in a relaxing atmosphere, with comfy-chic apparel suitable for the harshest winters, and softer total looks with functional elegance.

Fabrics include crinkled wool embellished with openwork lurex inserts for fluid volumes, silk twill for ultra-feminine dresses and blouses and as a contrast to cotton denim, Norwegian jacquard wool with hand-tied fringes and cable-knit alpaca yarn. Outerwear ranges from versatile Scandi-cool double face wool to oversized volumes in soft Casentino wool in vibrant shades, and pieces in rigorous army-style. Delicate bijoux with clusters of freshwater pearls and golden leaves recall the naturalistic theme, while chokers in colored crystals and semi-precious stones act as playful amulets or travel souvenirs.
