Nakajima graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp in 2010, earning both the Christine Mathys Award and the Louis Award for his impressive graduation collection. His work was showcased in the windows of the renowned Antwerp boutique, Louis. In the same year, he joined Dries Van Noten as an assistant designer for the women's collection. Upon returning to Japan, Nakajima joined ISSEY MIYAKE in 2014. There, he honed his design skills under the philosophy of "Piece of Cloth," developing textiles and incorporating traditional Japanese craftsmanship. TELMA was launched in 2022.
