Acne Studios Fall Winter 2024-25 Fashion Show

Acne Studios made a bold statement with its Fall Winter 2024-2025 collection, merging fashion and artistry in a mesmerizing showcase that defied convention and challenged perceptions. Against the backdrop of large-scale chairs crafted from recycled tires, guests were invited to immerse themselves in an industrial-inspired setting that set the stage for an exploration of structured yet malleable designs.

Drawing inspiration from the structured-yet-flexible nature of rubber, the collection unfolded with a parade of leather garments that epitomized the brand's innovative approach to design. Skin-tight mini and midi dresses featured molded-out cups and exaggerated hips, mirroring the sunken dents and curves found on a tire. This juxtaposition of organic shapes with industrial materials created a visually striking aesthetic that captured the imagination.

As the show progressed, leather morphed into garments with a drapey, less static effect, embracing maxi skirts, midi dresses, trousers, and more. Intentional bunching and folding of the leather created the illusion of loose excess hanging over itself, adding depth and texture to each silhouette. Johnny Johansson, creative director of Acne Studios, pushed the boundaries of denim experimentation, introducing trompe-l'œil pieces that blurred the lines between denim and leather.

Blue jean-looking cuffs and lining teased the eye with their painterly qualities, challenging viewers to decipher the truth behind the fabric. This fusion of classic denim elements with avant-garde design techniques exemplified the collection's ethos of fashion-as-art, inviting audiences to explore the intersection of form and function in contemporary fashion.
