Elie Saab's Fall Winter 2024-2025 Haute Couture collection took viewers on a journey through a fantastical, gothic-inspired garden. While the brand ventures into new territories like real estate, Saab's heart remains firmly rooted in the world of high fashion.

The collection opened with a dramatic statement – a burst of bold black adorned with vibrant magenta and teal flowers. This color palette, inspired by Russia's Khokhloma art featuring florals on black lacquer, set the tone for the show. Strength and femininity intertwined as leather opera gloves added a touch of edge to Saab's signature silhouettes. This season, however, the shapes leaned slimmer, with fewer princess gowns and a focus on column silhouettes and trumpet skirts that offered controlled volume. Vines climbed figuratively up bodices, with bustiers extending outwards to create dramatic shapes.

Fringe gowns in brighter hues brought movement and energy to the runway. Swirls adorned epaulettes and backs, creating the illusion of wings. Saab's established menswear line continued with strong offerings, including an embroidered kimono-style coat.

Elie Saab Jr., the company's CEO, emphasized the importance of couture, which continues to be the brand's core essence despite its expansion into new ventures like real estate projects in the Middle East. This diversification aims to establish Elie Saab as a luxury lifestyle brand, with couture as its foundation. Saab Jr. assures that these ventures, with four new projects planned by 2025 and ten more proposals under evaluation, will be carefully considered to complement the fashion business. The brand is shifting its approach, now partnering with developers from the very beginning to exert greater influence on the real estate projects, from design to construction.
