Germanier Fall Winter 2024-25 Fashion Show

Germanier Fall Winter 2024-2025 collection fashion show at Paris Fashion Week FW24 (February 27, 2024).

Kevin Germanier transports us to the captivating world of theater with his Fall 2024 collection, a dazzling spectacle of drama and creativity that recaptures the energy of his early days in fashion.

Staged in a 19th-century performing arts theater and opened and closed by his muse, top French drag performer La Grande Dame, the show was a spectacle from start to finish. A 55-strong brass orchestra provided live accompaniment, setting the stage for Germanier's riotous lineup of colors, sequins, shivering trims, and found beads. The question arises: how many more of those beads does he have in store?

For Germanier, this collection marks his introduction to couture, a realm he now feels ready to conquer. Embracing the mandate of bringing the "most creative, the most crazy" version of his aesthetic to Paris, he sees it as not only a creative endeavor but also a sound business strategy for his six-year-old brand. This sentiment is reinforced by the success of his proof-of-concept collection for the LVMH Circularity initiative, which utilized 100 percent upcycled materials from luxury houses within the group.

Even his knits received a craft-intensive update, thanks to the skillful hands of his 84-year-old grandmother and 87-year-old great-aunt, who collaborated to create the beaded iterations seen throughout the collection. Germanier's resourcefulness knows no bounds, as he turns spikes typically used in floral arrangements into fantastical elements adorning corseted dresses made of rhodoid plates assembled with metal rings.
