Gloria Coelho Spring Summer 2025 Fashion Show

Celebrating 50 years of her brand, formerly known simply by the initial 'G', Gloria Coelho unveiled her latest collection in what was intended to be an intimate affair but drew a crowd of the designer's fans to the Nara Roesler gallery in Jardim Europa during São Paulo Fashion Week N57 on April 15, 2024.

Throughout her illustrious career, Gloria Coelho has consistently delivered impeccable work infused with rich references to fashion and culture spanning decades. For her Spring/Summer 2025 collection, Coelho drew inspiration from various sources, including the 1960s, ballet attire, Kate Moss, armor, Op-Art, and even Pokémon.

The hallmark of Gloria Coelho's creations lies in their visually striking appeal, a characteristic that has earned her a loyal clientele over the years. However, each collection also brings something new to the table. The focal point of this particular collection was the intricate applications on tulle fabric, such as spheres and flowers crafted from the same material, as well as satin fringes, ribbons, and double-sided sequins. These embellishments adorned column-style dresses in shades of navy, blue, and red, characterized by sheer panels and discreet straps, often made of nearly invisible tulle or delicate as a baby-doll.

Unsurprisingly, the color palette featured an abundance of white, seen in midi pleated skirts paired with white corsets or cropped jackets, as well as black, showcased in dresses with cut-out details, shorter lengths, lightweight fabrics, and transparent elements, or in the pleated-backed blazers. The entire presentation served as both a fitting summary of Coelho's journey thus far and a testament to her ongoing commitment to innovation and evolution.
