Satoshi Kondo's Fall collection for Issey Miyake embarks on a journey back to the essence of clothing—a celebration of the fundamental beauty found in a piece of cloth.

Inspired by the artistry of Wolfgang Laib, whose installations of hand-collected hazelnut and dandelion pollen evoke a sense of pure beauty and vitality, Kondo seeks to infuse the fashion world with the same simplicity and timelessness found in nature.

Laib's art, discovered by Kondo five years ago, left a lasting impression, prompting the designer to translate its essence into the Fall collection titled "What Has Always Been." Through this showcase, Kondo aims to capture the pure joy, inspiration, and liveliness inherent in Laib's work, crafting garments that are both timeless and universal.

The collection unfolds with a richly textured tapestry of colors, including vibrant hues like fuchsia, pollen yellow, royal blue, and mint green. Garments, often derived from a single piece of cloth, cascade gracefully over various forms, showcasing intricate folds, twists, and asymmetrical shapes.
