Michael Kors Fall Winter 2023-24 Fashion Show

Michael Kors' Fall Winter 2023-2024 collection is a perfect blend of classic menswear-inspired tailoring and modern sensibilities. The collection features sweeping coats, knit dressing, and the juxtaposition of sleek and raw textures, all set against a backdrop of chocolate brown as the new black.

During a preview, Kors said, "What we show we make and people wear. The revolution shouldn't be real clothes." However, this season has been all about timeless clothes that are cherished, styled, and worn by Proenza Schouler, Brandon Maxwell, Gabriela Hearst, Tibi, and many more.

Kors drew inspiration from iconic women like Gloria Steinem, whom he met in 1985 while working on a story titled "Smart women wear short skirts." The opening look featured a taupe wool overcoat and sweater paired with chocolate brown suede shorts and boots, paying homage to Steinem's '70s urban bohemian style.

Kors also acknowledged the power of fashion for women today, saying, "Today, we have generations of women who are still trying to show their power, their strength, their intelligence, but at the same time are not afraid of fashion, and it runs the gamut from Amanda Gorman to Nancy Pelosi to Serena Williams."

The collection featured impeccably tailored coats, some of the best shearlings of the week, and chocolate brown fringed dresses that added another bohemian element. The tailoring was designed to move, with cape sleeves, slashed skirts, and flared pants.
