Chloé Resort 2024 collection lookbook (23 outfits).

Gabriela Hearst, the creative director of Chloé, has dedicated her initial years at the fashion house to prioritizing sustainability, focusing on materials and shifting away from conventional practices. With the Chloé Resort 2024 collection, Hearst continues her commitment to sustainability, emphasizing notions of consciousness, circularity, and timelessness. The collection showcases a fusion of chic garments created from repurposed materials, reflecting Hearst's vision of transforming "trash" into fashion treasures.

Hearst's dedication to sustainability is evident throughout the Resort 2024 collection. Collaborating with denim specialist Adriano Goldschmied, Chloé presents jeans crafted from a proprietary fabric blend of 87% post-consumer cotton and 13% hemp. The collection challenges preconceived notions of denim by featuring a shearling-collared jacket and matching flares made from suede. These innovative choices demonstrate Hearst's commitment to exploring alternative materials and reimagining traditional designs.

A signature element of Chloé's aesthetic, knitwear finds prominence once again in the Resort 2024 collection. Hearst incorporates elegant, fringed ensembles and a Merino dress with tulip sleeves and a botanical guipure midriff, designed to appeal even to those who typically shy away from cut-out styles. Ribbed knits, engineered for comfort and movement, are adorned with jewel-like chains at the seams. Additionally, select pieces, such as a wool jacquard cardigan featuring multi-colored threads, are the result of a collaboration with Manos del Uruguay, a social enterprise.

Paying homage to Karl Lagerfeld's influential 25-year tenure at Chloé, the Resort 2024 collection features elements previewed at the recent Met Gala. The custom column dress worn by Maude Apatow, crafted from deadstock silk crepe with hand-embroidered arrow motifs, serves as inspiration for a coat, a dress with a swooping arrow on the back, as well as accessories like bags, shoes, and jewelry. Another notable nod to Lagerfeld is a guitar dress, based on a longer version worn by Hearst herself on the red carpet.

Beyond the statement pieces and tributes, the Chloé Resort 2024 collection showcases a range of impeccably tailored garments in neutral shades of ecru, black, and navy. Reflecting Hearst's expertise in refined dressing, these sharp and chic designs evoke a sense of timeless elegance. A black wool cape coat adorned with gold buttons, a denim and shearling jacket, and plush fur coats made from shearling or cropped chocolate leather exemplify the collection's commitment to gimmick-free, long-term investment dressing.
