Christian Wijnants Fall Winter 2024-25 Lookbook

Christian Wijnants Fall Winter 2024-2025 collection lookbook presented at Paris Fashion Week FW24.

Christian Wijnants draws inspiration from the vibrant tapestry of Stone Town, Zanzibar, infusing his Fall Winter 2024-2025 collection with a rich blend of African influences, Indian motifs, and global wanderlust. Collaborating with artist Magali Cazo, Wijnants translates the city's colors and atmosphere into an ethereal collection that seamlessly melds daywear and eveningwear.

Prints inspired by Cazo's abstract art adorn flowing organza dresses and intarsia sweaters, adding a touch of whimsy to sophisticated silhouettes. Earthy tones dominate the palette, creating a sense of harmony and versatility that allows pieces to be effortlessly mixed and layered.

Versatility is key in this collection, with Seventies-inspired knitted sweaters paired with chic alpaca coats and nylon bombers cinched at the waist over paillette skirts. Knitwear crafted from natural fibers like silk charmeuse, linen, and suri alpaca feature intricate draping techniques, while faux fur coats made from silk and washed denim add texture and depth.

Textured fabrics play a central role, with quilted linen-viscose blends and silk squares creating a tactile experience reminiscent of reptilian scales. Each garment is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, reflecting Wijnants' deep affinity for nature and his commitment to sustainable, high-quality craftsmanship.
