Holzweiler Fall Winter 2025-2026 collection lookbook.

Building on last season’s homecoming theme, Holzweiler once again forwent the traditional runway, opting instead for the raw beauty of its homeland. The lookbook was shot on a snow-covered Norwegian mountainside, capturing what Maria Skappel Holzweiler described as “the beautiful crisp light and all the beauty of our country.” There were no ski lifts in sight, but the powder-laden slopes set the perfect stage for a collection that balanced function, comfort, and an evolving sense of refinement.
A nod to Norway’s deep-rooted ski culture came through in subtle ways, from the curved-line motifs on sweaters—mimicking ski tracks in fresh snow—to the just-launched ski capsule, complete with goggles and helmets made in collaboration with Trysil-based Sweet Protection. Meanwhile, more vibrant knitwear drew inspiration from ‘70s hammocks, developed through a partnership with Skappel, the creative director’s family-founded knitwear brand. True to Holzweiler’s ethos, knit kits will be available for those who want to recreate the styles at home.
Beyond its heritage in scarves and outerwear, Holzweiler has expanded into everyday wear that can withstand Nordic winters without sacrificing style. This season’s offering included cargos with a technical edge, structured leather pants, and a reversible shearling jacket that balanced warmth with a contemporary silhouette. While the collection leaned heavily on functional dressing, there was also an attempt to infuse a softer, more romantic touch through draped silhouettes and silky fabrics. A sky-blue slip dress with a coordinating argyle pullover and a sweeping black evening gown offered a fairytale take on winter dressing, though they felt somewhat at odds with the rugged mountain setting.
At its strongest, the collection channeled the effortless, outdoors-meets-urban cool that Holzweiler does best—think après-ski essentials and insulating layers that transition seamlessly between the elements and the city. As Holzweiler noted, life in the Nordics is dictated by the unpredictable, and dressing for it requires both adaptability and intention. This season’s mix of high-performance outerwear and cozy, heritage-inspired knitwear nailed that balance. The more delicate, ethereal pieces? Perhaps best saved for when the snow melts.
