Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida have taken us on a delightful journey back to the 1970s with their Resort 2024 collection, drawing inspiration from the iconic image of David Bowie on the cover of "The Man Who Sold the World." Their exploration of the androgynous fashion of that era resulted in a collection that seamlessly blends vintage aesthetics with a modern twist.

One standout feature of the collection is the innovative use of antique fabrics, particularly brocades that were traditionally reserved for couches and curtains. Marques and Almeida transformed these heavy materials into patchworked printed jacquards, which they used to craft paneled circle skirts and extra-wide bell-bottom trousers. This approach not only showcases their creativity but also addresses the weight issue of the original fabrics.
