For Fall Winter 2025-2026, Masha Popova explored themes of impermanence and nostalgia, drawing from her own itinerant lifestyle and the voyeuristic intimacy of temporary spaces. The collection, presented through a lookbook and film shot at the Langham Hotel, reflected a wardrobe shaped by movement and memory.
Textural contrasts were key, with indigo bombers featuring plush shawl collars reminiscent of hotel bathrobes, striped shirts draped like slept-in linens, and two-tone corduroys evoking aged upholstery. The garments carried an intentional sense of disruption—straps slipped off shoulders, zippers stalled mid-motion, and fabric treatments suggested wear over time.
Denim, a Popova signature, was reinterpreted with wax-coated skinnies that allowed selective fading, while resin-treated hems on dresses appeared stained, as if caught in motion. Distressed tailoring emerged in sleeveless blazers layered over integrated hoodies, finished with uneven brown dyes that emphasized rawness over polish. Footwear, including slouchy white boots, bore visible scuffs, reinforcing the idea that clothing gains character through wear.
With an aesthetic rooted in imperfection, Popova’s collection balanced nostalgia with rebellion, capturing the beauty of garments shaped by lived experiences.
