Sea Resort 2027 Collection Lookbook: Celebrates 20 Years of Maritime Heritage.
+36
Celebrating two decades in the fashion industry, designers Monica Paolini and Sean Monahan chose their hometown of Newburgh, New York, as the backdrop for the Sea Resort 2027 women's collection lookbook. Returning to their roots in the Hudson Valley river town for the brand's twentieth anniversary, the design duo drew creative inspiration from traditional maritime workers and local river heritage. The collection establishes a distinct harmony between romance and functional daily wear, blending coastal utility with delicate lingerie details and sharp, dandyish tuxedo tailoring.
A prominent addition to the seasonal presentation is the debut of the “Sea NY & Supply” sub-label, featured on select garments as a direct nod to vintage sporting goods. The utilitarian narrative is strongly expressed through practical outerwear and coordinates, including a cheerful daffodil yellow raincoat, camouflage cargo trousers, and a matching windbreaker and cargo skirt set. Marine themes are further integrated via specialized scarf prints depicting fish motifs, alongside traditional fishing creel baskets redesigned for land use with silk foulard-wrapped handles. The studio also introduces unique layering accents, showcasing a structured cummerbund apron and a premium leather apron styled over a clever, all-in-one dress designed to look like a sporty polo layered over a classic shirt and skirt.
The collection transitions from athletic prep into precious, feminine territory through the implementation of intricate lace inserts and delicate pearl embellishments. Paolini explores volume and historical undergarment silhouettes for the season, heavily featuring relaxed culottes and romantic bloomers. This softer perspective is enhanced by a rich, jewel-toned color palette dominated by vibrant jade and deep amethyst hues. By pairing rugged, worker-inspired gear with delicate fabrications, the brand successfully delivers a fresh, narrative-driven wardrobe that honors its twenty-year history while offering a modern take on everyday elegance.
