Following their impactful September runway show held on the streets of Milan, the designers behind The Attico have adopted a somewhat more restrained approach for the release of their Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) collection for 2024, now available on the brand's official e-commerce platform. The campaign was meticulously shot in a raw industrial setting, exuding a moodier and darker ambiance. However, rest assured that The Attico's signature fusion of tomboy allure and sultriness remains a prominent feature throughout.

During a recent showroom appointment, Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio explained their intent, stating, "We aimed to simplify our aesthetic. To counterbalance the audaciousness of our previous runway show, we felt the need for a more streamlined approach." Even in its 'reduced' form, The Attico's design language retains an innate sense of allure and sophistication. They stay true to their unique blend of street-inspired oversized daywear, interwoven with a touch of extravagance. Picture round-shaped hoodies adorned with delicate feathers, oversized cargo pants paired with alluring sequined tops, and barely-there mesh slips toughened up with zippered leather shells.

Nevertheless, it's worth noting that their trademark juxtaposition of high and low elements in this collection leans towards sleeker silhouettes with less exaggerated volumes than their usual offerings. For instance, the very first look presents a straight-cut mid-calf leather apron worn over slouchy boots. Although it exudes a somewhat minimal and industrial feel, it remains entirely backless, unveiling its inherently provocative nature with the unapologetic confidence that is synonymous with The Attico's signature style.

According to Gilda and Giorgia, whose personal fashion choices greatly influence their label, self-assurance and audacity appear to be the key ingredients for creating remarkable ensembles. A prime example is the reimagined version of their best-selling slouchy trousers—low-waisted, wide-legged, and featuring a clever use of stud-like snaps, allowing for customizable levels of dishevelment and insouciance. It is a safe bet that these trousers will enjoy significant popularity, just as their predecessors have.
