Akris Fall Winter 2024-25 Fashion Show

Albert Kriemler's Fall Winter 2024-2025 collection for Akris showcased his unparalleled talent for selecting and utilizing sumptuous fabrics, elevating his designs to new heights of luxury and sophistication.

The collection unfolded in a series of monochromatic looks, allowing the spotlight to shine on the exquisite textures and impeccable craftsmanship of Kriemler's creations. From the "cloud" cashmere sweaters with a fluffy alpaca-like texture to the crisp lines of shift dresses in double-face cotton gabardine, each piece epitomized the brand's commitment to quality and refinement.

During a showroom preview, Kriemler emphasized the importance of fabric in achieving the exceptional standards for which Akris is known. Rainproof silk coats, sturdy silk gazar utility shirts, and plongé leather blazers showcased the brand's dedication to utilizing only the finest materials.

The show took place in the recently shuttered C&A department store on Rue de Rivoli, its raw concrete surroundings serving as the perfect backdrop to highlight the polished sophistication of Kriemler's designs. Sporting elements such as shearling baseball caps or hoods added a touch of sporty flair to the collection.

In a season dominated by wearable clothes and dark hues, Kriemler opted for more unconventional dark colors, including chocolate brown, kale green, dark olive, and charcoal. However, the true show-stoppers were the finale looks, featuring prints inspired by the photograms of Swiss artist Katalin Deér. These mesmerizing prints, discovered by Kriemler at Art Basel, showcased gradient greens, purples, and caramels, adding a captivating visual dimension to the collection.

To further enhance the presentation, Kriemler wrapped cement columns in digital screens that changed colors and patterns to match the models' attire, seamlessly blending the analog and digital worlds.
